Drugs hidden in a surprise container of chocolate eggs and 2.5 kilograms of cocaine at home, worth 800 thousand euros.
" Uncle Albanian ", a known drug trafficker from the capital, was arrested three days ago in Italy.
A clever ruse, but one that failed to fool the Flying Squad officers, was implemented by Amarildo Daulla , a 36-year-old Albanian drug trafficker capable of moving large quantities of drugs into the city.
His name was a respected figure in drug trafficking circles, as evidenced by the order book seized from his home: from small users to local dealers, to whom he sold blocks of drugs to cut and sell at retail. His market was real, capable of earning between 3,200 and 3,500 euros a day.
The coordinator of the successful anti-drug operation was the head of the Ancona Flying Squad, Dr. Carlo Pinto.
The name of "Uncle Albanian" had long been at the center of an investigation into drug trafficking in the capital, especially cocaine, for which he was the main supplier.
For this reason, for about a month, police officers had been following him with targeted shadowy operations, surveillance, and culminating when "Lo Zio" was caught red-handed selling a dose of cocaine to a 35-year-old local man.
A personal search was conducted, which revealed 15 doses of cocaine, with a total weight of 6 grams, hidden inside a surprise container in the shape of a chocolate egg.
A subsequent search of the home allowed investigators to find 75 more doses of cocaine ready for sale, totaling approximately 40 grams, heat-sealed and packaged in the same manner as those found at the seller's.
Six wrapped packages containing narcotics were also found: specifically, 2.5 kg of ultra-pure cocaine, still uncut, which would have brought him a profit of almost 800,000 euros.
The house also contained a large amount of packaging material, a digital scale, a precision scale, as well as 3,000 euros in cash believed to be proceeds from illegal cocaine trafficking, and the notebook containing orders and quantities.
The dealer was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics and, by order of Deputy Prosecutor Rosario Lioniello, was held in the Montacuto prison at the disposal of the investigating judge.
