A traffic police officer was immediately fired from the State Police after he asked a driver for money in exchange for not paying a fine.

The decision was taken by the General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku.

The case was registered on the "Fier-Vajkan" road axis, where a police officer, abusing his duty, asked a driver for lek in exchange for not imposing a fine, approved the immediate dismissal from the ranks of the State Police, of the employee HM Police Inspector with duties as an employee of the Fier Road Police.

In relation to this case, HM Inspector, AMP has launched an investigation for abuse of office and corruption.
