A fatal accident occurred on the national axis Berat-Lushje, in the village of Polizhan.

A 72-year-old man, who was cycling when he was hit by a car, who after throwing him to the ground left the scene.

It is learned that Idajet Çobo was found lying on the road by the drivers of other cars that were driving afterwards, who notified the police.

The 72-year-old was transported by ambulance to Berat Regional Hospital, but died on the way.

The police are working to identify and catch the perpetrator.
