Two foreign tourists, one Belgian and the other English, were the first to write next to Armand Nelajt , who had blown himself up with a tritol.

On the evening of June 24, 2024, Nelaj had entered the water with the intention of placing tritol on one of the ships of the two brothers Ilirjan Qirjako and Vasillaq Qirjako , owners of the company " Finikas Sh.pk ", which operated the Saranda-Crete ferry line.

But before he could put it on the ferry, the explosive exploded in his hand. 

The whole event was seen by two foreign tourists, the Belgian Frederic Rousseaux and the Englishman Nicholas Mccann , who told all what they saw at the Prosecutor's Office of Saranda.

Their testimony was disclosed by the journalist of "Ora News" Elton Qyno.

"...We were near the immigration office, we noticed a person who was wearing a diving suit. We watched it with binoculars as it was getting dressed, but the boat was not moving. The boat was black as in gray and appeared to have "force" written on it. Then we approached his boat and we noticed that he was submerged in the water and was coming around the boat, to the back of the boat, where the engine is, and he was pulling two black roofs, which were floating on the water... ", said the two tourists.

At this moment, they asked him if he needed help and had the last conversation with him, showing that Nelaj had asked them to leave.

And they did so, but turned back after hearing the explosion. They even showed details about the condition in which they found his body. 

" ...after pulling two black bags, he replied that it was okay and we left. The person didn't really want to talk to us, he even talked to us with a mask through his teeth. A few meters further, after leaving after a few seconds, we heard a very strong explosion. We got closer to see what had happened and saw things floating on the water. The person we saw had part of his skull gone and his shoulder sticking out, " they said in their testimony.
