The Durrës Prosecutor's Office has launched investigations into the death of Egnatia's attacker, Rafael Dwamena. The young man allegedly suffered a heart attack during the match against Partizan at the Rrogozhina stadium.

The prosecution has seized all the medical records of the player in the Albanian Football Federation and in the club of Egnatia to see if his health problems were reported earlier.

The doctors who assisted in his analyzes were also questioned. The latter have stated that the analyzes since January when he was in our country have come out according to the allowed norms.

Meanwhile, the prosecutors are still waiting for the medical-legal expertise to determine the cause of death.

Dwamena died on the way to the hospital after losing consciousness during the Egnatia-Partizani match played in Rrogozhinë. The 28-year-old felt bad in the 24th minute of the game and fell to the ground. First aid was immediately given and then he was urgently sent from Rrogozhina to Kavaja Hospital. Doctors said the player went there without signs of life.

In 2017, the ordeal of his health problems began. In 2019, doctors suggest immediate withdrawal from football, but the attacker refuses and a year later he also puts a defibrillator in his heart, a device that still does not protect him from the next heart attack on October 27, 2021 in a match of the Austrian Cup when he played for Linz. Despite knowing the danger that threatened him, Dwamena transferred to Egnatia in the Albanian superior in January of this year.

Meanwhile, the director of the National Emergency, Skënder Brataj, has made a complete analysis of the illness suffered by the football player Raphael Dwamena, where there was only one conclusion, he should not play.

In a long post on social media, Brataj compared Dwamena to Eriksen, saying that under no circumstances should the 28-year-old Ghanaian be on the field.
