Horror in Fier, the graves of two young people are violated, the family members:

The show Fiks Fare denounced on Thursday evening a scandal in the cemetery of the village of Grecali in Fier.

Mr. complained to the newsroom of the investigative show. Askeri Ristani. He said that his daughter, who died in August 2023 as a result of a serious illness, is buried in this cemetery. She was 29 years old and left behind a minor child. "I was informed 10 days ago that the grave had been opened. I came to the cemetery and saw that the earth had moved. Half of the soil had been moved from the head area. There was also a sheet nearby so they wouldn't leave traces of dirt. I don't know who could have done this, to steal it or for something else. I don't know if the girl is inside or not. We can't think of anything," says Asqeriu.

He further claims that the grave of a young man was also opened in the same cemetery. They had left it open. There was plastic and sheets near the grave. "I don't know if that family reported it or closed it, but I can say that I notified the police. The area inspector came and gave me a white paper to sign. I did not accept that they would close my case, no wild animals have come. Where are the animals here in the field? With sheets and to open the graves," Asqeriu claims. He adds that the cemetery employees saw this and alerted the police and the family members. "I want to know whether or not my daughter is in there," he concludes.

After the complaint, Fiks Fare journalists went to the Center Administrative Unit in Fier. The administrator says that two graves have been opened. "One was completely exhumed. I believe in stealing corpses. One family did not want to pursue the denunciation, as they are old. The Ristani family also has a claim, but the police are dealing with it," says the Administrator, while adding that the finding was made by cleaning workers, depending on the Municipality of Fier.

Journalists also go to the Directorate of Funeral Services of the Municipality of Fier, where the employees indicated that they deal with the city. The person in charge calls the foreman of the village cemetery, who tells him that there are no guards there. "They are a group of workers who go once a week for cleaning. They had seen the open graves and alerted the police. They had seen two open graves," says the brigadier.

Fiksi also calls the police inspector of the area, Petrit Mema. He said that he was notified by the residents of the area. Fiksi asks him what the white paper was for, as he answers that "for procedure". Journalists ask him about the sheets and plastic, since there it was burned. "They should have been there" he says with surprise. To the question why they were not seized, the answer is that it was taken by the Chief of Crimes. He further claims that one of the families did not want to pursue him with an investigative case, while the complaint of the Ristani family was sent to the prosecutor's office.

Fiks Fare contacted the Fier Police Department, asking about all the whistleblower's claims. According to them, Mr. Ristani notified the operating room on January 28, after detecting movement of the soil of his daughter's grave in the Grecalli village cemetery. The answer states that: "Immediately after the announcement, a special investigative group was set up to clarify the circumstances of the case. All investigative and procedural actions have been carried out. On January 31, 2024, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings no. 209, of 2024, were registered for the criminal offense of 'Grave rape'".

According to them, at the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the work continues to identify and capture the perpetrators, as well as clarifying its circumstances. "We are working under the direction of the prosecutor to carry out further actions according to the requests/claims of Mr. Ristani, who will be informed about the progress of the investigation of this event," concludes the police announcement.
