The sudden investigation by SPAK, EUROJUST and the police revealed 15 fraudulent call centers, 6 of which in Albania, that had defrauded European citizens by embezzling about 50 million euros in 3 months.
But in its finalization, in the hands of the investigators are only about 300 computer devices and cryptocurrency wallets in the value of approximately 15,000 USD and 90,000 euros in cash were seized, the millions of euros obtained from the fraud were not found. This dirty money circulating in cryptocurrency has neither been physically found by the authorities, nor has it been traced, nor is it known where it was invested or who owns it.
This potentially increases the possibility that the persons who possess this illegal wealth of millions of euros will reinvest it to reopen such call center companies or other illegal activities.
As in other actions, fraudsters have used the same scheme, that of trap phone calls made by call centers, which invited citizens from Austria, Germany, Spain and Finland to invest a little and earn in cryptocurrency.
In Albania, Iris Puca, Ardian Korriku and Berlando Saracaj fell for this criminal activity./ TCH
