The Special Prosecution Office continues with the questioning for the January 21 file. Today, Agim Deda, the other brother of Hekuran Deda, whose murder has still not been solved, appeared before SPAK.

A day earlier, SPAK investigators questioned Deda's other brother, Zabit Deda, who told the media that he is hopeful that this incident will be solved.

Before SPAK, the guards of the fire brigade who fired on January 21, 2011 at protesters, killing 4 of them, are also expected to be held accountable.

Among the people who will be summoned to SPAK will be the former head of the guard Ndrea Prendi and the head of the special unit Agim Llupo.

SPAK will reveal the role of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, former Interior Minister Lulzim Basha, former head of the Guard Ndrea Prendit and others in one of the most serious events in our country. The 14th anniversary found January 21 with the file in the hands of SPAK, after the order of the Supreme Court and a Strasbourg decision that clearly called it a state crime.

So far, prosecutors have questioned former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri, former State Police Director Hysni Burgaj, his deputy Agron Kuliçaj, and SP MP Xhemal Qefaliaj.

SPAK has registered criminal proceedings for 3 offenses: "Murder in other qualifying circumstances", committed in collaboration, against two or more persons and in a manner dangerous to the lives of many persons, "Abuse of office", committed in collaboration, and "Committing actions that impede the discovery of the truth", committed in collaboration.

Of the killings of four demonstrators on the boulevard, justice has only brought to justice two of them, Ziver Veizaj and Faik Myrtaj, for whom the Albanian justice system has given only 4 years in prison in total for manslaughter.

While the murders of Aleks Nika and Hekuran Deda still remain unsolved, all the families of the four victims are demanding that the investigation also reveal the officials who ordered their shooting.
