The murder at Kodra e Diellit has been documented with the security measure of arrest and imprisonment for the author, who has been declared wanted as he is abroad.

The murder happened for blood feud, on the night of October 30, where a few minutes before midnight Briken (Skerdilajd) Sanaj was shot by a moving "Benz" car, Tch reports.

Sanaj was locking the car in the garage of the building where he lived and met three familiar people on the sidewalk.

The 39-year-old was initially in Lezhë, at his cousin's wedding. When the wedding was over, they brought the bride to Tirana to the palace where she had been living for more than a year. When he got out of the car, he was shot dead from close range by a moving car.

The perpetrators have managed to leave and their "Benz" type car was found burnt after the incident, in Qafë Kashar, while a Kalashnikov was found inside it. According to the information, the car had stolen license plates just a few days ago in Tirana.

In 2010, the Sanaj family had a conflict with the Kola family due to the harassment of a girl. The conflict escalated and Briken Sanaj's younger brother injured one of the sons of the Kola family.

An enmity started between the families that, despite efforts to reconcile, did not materialize. They made controlled movements, because of this conflict, and did not expose themselves in public.
