"Halabakë", "bythqira", "dragging you" , two days after the public denunciation in the media, 3 employees of the internet company in Lezha have filed criminal charges against the Director of the Municipal Police Leonard Pali for insult and violence against them.
In the criminal report addressed to the prosecution, Ndue Pjetri , Ervis Figuri and Fatbardh Media state that around 10:00 on 11.06.2022 they were working on behalf of the entrepreneur Ded Bukaqeja in a channel to install optical fibers, as the company has an internet distribution network. They state that while they were working, at one point the Municipal Police approached and stopped the car, from where the director of the Municipal Police, Leonard Palaj, came out, addressing the workers with the expression "you are here again".
"Did we tell you not to work anymore, leave the job he told us and start sharing with us. After he said do not work, I sat down to cut the pipe to stop the work and this municipal policeman insulted me with harsh words and grabbed me by the clothes and tore me. He used insulting words such as " halabakë ", " bythqira ", " he pulls you ", and many other serious words that we have felt humiliated by him ", states in his report the worker Ndue Pjetra.
But when contacted for this issue, the press office in the Municipality of Lezha claims that the company in question has violated the law, carrying out illegal works and has not made any request for extension of the permit in the municipality.
According to them, in the last case, the company has carried out works along the sidewalk of Kuna in the open canal without receiving any confirmation and without any right of use by the municipality. In the version given by the municipality, it is stated that the Local Construction Inspectorate and the Municipal Police have intervened in law enforcement, but have encountered violent reaction from company employees.
