Bird flu, chickens will be moved to slaughterhouses only with veterinary

The National Veterinary Authority has set up the National Crisis Centre, which will make decisions on the situation created by bird flu, which is alleged to have wiped out over half a million chickens in Albania.

In addition to the establishment of this centre, a second order has quarantined all bird farms where they have been confirmed and where bird flu may have exploded.

Disinfection, disinsection and deratization of objects, equipment, buildings, means of transport and other environments, areas and surfaces where infected birds are kept, or suspected to be infected, have been ordered.

Inventory of all farms that have been affected, or allegedly affected by the virus, the definition of a protection zone and area of biks, the prohibition of the movement of birds, products and by-products are ordered, while allowing them to the slaughterhouse only with the veterinary certificate.

Meanwhile, earlier the Ministry of Agriculture came up with a notice advising citizens not to consume bird products, or by-products without previously cooking them at temperatures above 70 degrees Celsius.
