Saving, government shuts off road axe lights after midnight

The government has decided to deepen the saving of electricity, where in addition to extending to state offices it has also taken it out on national roads and axes.

Energy Minister Belinda Balluku announced on Facebook the plan for measures to manage the energy crisis in the country.

"There will be lighting interruptions in the national automotive axes. For example, Tirana-Durres, Neck of Kashar-Rina, Korca-Erseka etc. There will also be interruptions in fier's bypass or at the Hoti-Hani denominations," Balluku said.

"Another measure is the requirement for all institutions to limit the energy used for lighting. Municipalities, from 12:00 p.m., will be asked to turn off lighting for buildings that don't matter," the minister added.
