Italian police cracked down on a structured drug trafficking and distribution group, arresting eight Albanians and an Italian. They were handcuffed after several years of investigation.
Media across the Adriatic suggest that Albanians traded cocaine drugs in Parma and had about 400 clients, of whom they managed to earn about 1 million euros a year.
Another Albanian arrested in 2018 was part of the group, from whom a large amount of cocaine was seized at that time. During the action in recent days, the Italian police have seized another 400 thousand euros.
According to the Italian prosecution, the Albanians planned to launder large sums of money they extracted from drug trafficking through the purchase of real estate in Albania.
