The hearing on the "Sterilization" file has been postponed to September 11. Sources indicate that in the legal process, the court was not ready to express its opinion on the parties' requests.

The Special Prosecution Office requested the dismissal of 23 requests filed by former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, in this process.

During the hearing, prosecutor Edvin Kondili stated that Beqaj's requests, through which the charges and procedural actions of the investigative body are contested, are unfounded in law and should be dismissed.

According to SPAK, in most cases the defendant's claims have been answered during the investigation phase, in the preliminary hearing, and in the court's decision that accepted the request to move the case to trial.

Regarding the request for the invalidity of the act of notification of the accusation, SPAK argued that it is not based on the law.

"The actions were approved by the preliminary judge with the decision to accept the request for trial," the prosecutor said.

Regarding Beqaj's claim that the theft charge is not proven, the prosecution said that the defendant does not present concrete requests, but raises questions that, according to it, have been clarified and will be addressed in the parties' final conclusions.
