Special Court releases former Environment Ministry official Dove Abeshi from cell

Former Ministry of Environment official Dove Abeshi was released from his cell today after his detention term expired.

This is the second time Abeshi, who is charged with the Tirana Incenerator, has been released after returning to prison earlier.

Abeshi's name was among 15 persons for whom SPAK signed arrest warrants on December 7, 2023 regarding the investigation launched three years ago for the concession contract "Construction landfilli, incinterator and rehabilitation of existing depository site, Tirana".

He held the post of chairman of the Exproaction Commission at the Ministry of Environment.
