The GJKKO decides today whether Meta's case will go to trial

A preliminary hearing for Ilir Meta is being held today at the GJKKO. The file will be reviewed by Judge Irena Gjoka, who will decide whether to proceed with the trial, return it to SPAK, or discontinue the investigation. It is learned that the hearing will start at 10:00.

SPAK claims that corruption schemes and abuses of power were uncovered during the investigations. In addition to Meta and Kryemadhi, three other people have been sent to trial.

On August 29, the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office closed the investigations and sent Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi to trial, on charges of passive corruption, money laundering, and failure to declare assets.
