The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) has approved in almost 97% of SPAK's requests for the security measure "arrest in prison" for the accused. Translated into numbers, there are 503 accepted requests and only 19 rejected out of 522 in total.
Since the creation of new structures within the framework of the Justice Reform, in fact there are a total of 121 requests with 622 persons for whom security measures have been requested from the Posaccme Prosecutor's Office in the Posaccme Court. Of these, for 522 security measures "arrest in prison" were requested, while for 100 other security measures were requested.

Specifically, in 2020, there are 44 requests with 146 people for whom the security measure "arrest in prison" was requested. In 2021, we have a decrease in numbers, as SPAK sent 42 requests, of which 171 requested prison. On the other hand, in 2022, we have a further decrease in requests to 35, but the number of persons for whom SPAK has requested from the Posaccme Court "arrest in prison" has increased to 244.
SPAK and GJKKO were created in 2019, as part of the Justice Reform, replacing the former Prosecutor's Office and the Court of Serious Crimes. The first to lead this structure until December 2022 was Arben Krraja, who was replaced by Altin Dumani, after the end of the 3-year mandate. /Top News
