The Special Court has accepted the request of former Minister of Health Ilir Beqja to leave the cage and attend the hearings in the courtroom.

He asked to be in the courtroom today to follow the trial on the merits, and not through the cage.

This request had been repeated several times by him in recent months.

During attempts to communicate with his lawyer Ermal Yzeiraj, Beqaj ironically said:

"This is what it's like when you can't get along with the lawyer 3 meters away, 5-star courtroom." The next hearing will be held on May 21st.
