SPAK's mistakes with the investigation of the Fier incinerator, Robert Shabani is released from prison because he was wrongly accused

Robert Shabani, owner of the company "RSI & T Group shpk", was released yesterday from the cell after the preliminary court session that was held for the incinerator of Fier. Arrested for a long time, the defense lawyer asked for his client's freedom.

It was the defense of lawyer Jurgen Sinani that caused the defendant, Robert Shabani, to leave the cell yesterday.

In front of the black squads, Sinani objected to the detention in the cell and the charges brought against the owner of "RSI & T Group shpk", because the exercise of criminal prosecution was contrary to the Criminal Code and that of Criminal Procedure.

The company in question performed the services for which it was contracted, for the Fier incinerator Concession Society.

However, the accusation against Robert Shabani was the same as the one for which this citizen was sentenced by a final decision by the Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal in Tirana, in another judicial process.

Under these conditions, keeping him in the cell was against the law.

Defense lawyer Jurgen Sinani strongly condemned this fact and asked the Special Court for the immediate release of his client. The file for the Fier incinerator went to trial yesterday, with Lefter Kokë, Alqi Bllakon and eight other people accused.

The only person for whom the charge was dismissed by the Special Court was precisely Robert Shabani.

This is just one of the examples showing the successive blunders of SPAK regarding the incinerator investigations. 

Yesterday GJKKO ordered SPAK to correct the charge against Alqi Bllako and Arben Dervishaj to formulate the crime of public servant corruption.
