The person you see in the photos above is 31-year-old Gert Shehu, at the moment he arrives at the trauma hospital in the capital.

He punched former Prime Minister Sali Berisha before today's protest and was then raped by his bodyguards.

Initially, after being beaten, Gert Shehu was escorted by Berisha's bodyguards to the headquarters of the DP and upon the arrival of the Police and the ambulance, he was transported to the Trauma hospital due to the numerous injuries that had been caused to him.

Doctors have confirmed that the 31-year-old has the most injuries on his face and head. He also underwent a scan, the result of which is expected to show his condition.

Family members, but also his doctor, Sadik Lala, have confirmed that Gert Shehu has been suffering from mental health problems since 2018.
