The director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, during a conference for journalists, said that Gert Shehu, the person who punched the head of the DP, Sali Berisha, during today's protest, is not an agent of the Criminal Police.

He added that the 31-year-old was never used as an infiltrator or as a source of information.

According to him, the document certifying the state of mental health of the 31-year-old was made available by his family members.

"Regarding the incident that occurred, the police reacted by arresting the aggressor as soon as they became aware of the incident. Investigations are currently being conducted by the Tirana prosecutor's office to determine the dynamics of the incident and its motives. Regarding the statements of MP Berisha, where he claimed that 31-year-old Gert Shehu is a criminal police agent, we clarify that: citizen Gert sgāl Shehu, has never been and is not a criminal police agent in any police structure. He was never used as an infiltrator or as a source of information. The document certifying the state of mental health was made available to the media by his family members. The police express their regret and deny these statements that do not help to clarify the truth", said Rrumbullaku.

According to the director of the State Police, everything has been declared regarding the records of this individual, they are documented and easily verifiable.
