A court session is being held today for Sokol Mjacaj, author of the serious incident that happened a few days ago in Peqin prison.

Mjacaj is accused of killing with a weapon a prisoner sentenced to life imprisonment and injuring the latter's friend.

The prosecution requested for Mjacaj "prison arrest" for this criminal offense, although he is sentenced to life in prison.

The court session is expected to start at 10:00, while the prosecutor of the case is Xhelian Seferi and the judge, Yrfete Shkreli.

Sakaq, FNSH and the Eagles have created the Security Perimeter around the Court of Elbasan before the start of the session, to prevent any chaotic situation.

In addition to the author of the incident, Sokol Mjacaj, the prosecution has requested prison for the former director of Peqin prison, Kamber Hoxha, the head of the prison's internal regime, Qani Muça, as well as 10 employees, including the former prison police chief, Nikolin Gjonpali. They are accused of having violated the security rules in the prison, since they did not carry out checks on the convict Mjacaj, who had been moving around with weapons inside the prison for at least 20 days.
