A large-scale international operation will take place in the Western Balkans, aiming to crack down on cocaine trafficking networks operating from Latin America to Europe.

At the center of this action are the criminal groups known as the "London Gangs", which are suspected of having strong connections in Albania.

According to the NCA announcement, which Top Channel refers to , the "British FBI" has set up a special investigative group in cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the Balkan countries. The goal is to identify and dismantle networks that control the supply of cocaine from its source in South America to European markets.

Sources from the operation indicate that Albania, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo are included in the investigation, as key points on the Balkan drug route. The structures involved are suspected of managing transport through ports in the Adriatic and Mediterranean, using fictitious companies to hide drug shipments.

In the official statement, the NCA's deputy director, Kate Appleby, stressed that: "Criminal groups from the Western Balkans have a major influence on the global cocaine market. This operation will focus on the individuals and networks that pose the greatest threat to the security of our countries."

This new international cooperation comes within the framework of the Western Balkans summit in London, where the necessity of strengthening the fight against drug trafficking and money laundering was emphasized.

According to preliminary investigations, the "London kids" are suspected of having set up a sophisticated supply and distribution network, using contacts in Latin America, West Africa and Central Europe.

The investigations are expected to expand further in the coming weeks, as British and Balkan authorities warn of sensational arrests as part of this joint anti-drug operation.
