A bomb alarm in Kukës has "awakened" authorities this morning.
An offensive grenade was spotted on one of the benches on the city's Boulevard.
The object was found on 'Tourism Road' at around 06:35, but turned out to be a toy.
"At around 06:35, on Tourism Street, an offensive grenade was found. Police services are carrying out the actions. Meanwhile, the investigative group is working to clarify the circumstances of the case," the police said in a preliminary announcement.
Police surrounded the city boulevard, and after investigation it was determined that the grenade was a toy.
The investigation team continues to work to clarify how the toy ended up on the promenade bench and whether it was left there intentionally or accidentally.
