Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that he has no plans to meet with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, following the latter's criticism of Turkey during his recent visit to the United States.
"For me, there is no Mitsotakis anymore. "I will never meet with him again, " the Turkish president said after a cabinet meeting.
" How is Greece treating us at the moment?" Is not Greece a destination for the FETO organization at the moment? "Erdogan asked, referring to the Gülen movement, an organization that Turkey defines as a terrorist.
" Currently in Greece there are 10 bases. Why are these bases being set up in Greece? Against whom? "At the moment, Greece owes 400 billion euros to European countries," he continued.
Mitsotakis during his visit to the US, though not directly, criticized Turkey and called on lawmakers to stop it from buying fighter jets. Not to mention Turkey, Mitsotakis highlighted the security challenges facing Greece, including flights over its territory.
" Let Mitsotakis think about the future. We are facing a Greece that proposes to the US 'not to give F-16 to Turkey'. "The United States will probably not act in accordance with Greece . "
