Criminology expert Ervin Karamuço told the show 'Contrast' that the number of arrests from Nuredin Dumani's testimony is expected to reach 90.
He said that the educational level of the participants in the event leaves much to be desired and the fact that their activity has lasted for 10 years does not mean that they have been sophisticated. Karamuço said that this duration is related to the support they have had from the Police structures.
"We have had the case of sophisticated and difficult crimes to solve and we have called both foreign and Serbian experts. While here we are dealing with people with low educational background. But the fact that they lasted so long means that they had the support of the State Police structures. Because you can not fall prey to an arrest from an injury. And there are not 33 people, but there are 90 people who are expected to be arrested. Duman is said to have been contracted by several gangs. "No, this is not true, but from the stories he has heard, he refers to the events of other groups," Ervin Karamuço told 'Contrast' on Report TV.
He added that Duman had requested his own arrest. According to Karamuço, the accused saw handcuffing as the only way out, after the assassination attempt where he was betrayed and injured. According to Karamuço, both Henrik Hoxhaj and Nuredin Dumani risk losing the status of penitents at the moment when the evidence does not match the evidence.
"The moment Duman or Hoxhaj's confessions turn out to be inaccurate, or from the facts that the Prosecution has, the suspicions always go in favor of the defendant. They by law lose the status of collaborator of justice.
Today we have not only two penitents, but a spiral where other people are involved. Feeling all this archival flow open two weeks ago, others have started to cooperate. But there are statements against statements. Work is what the files say and what work has it done? There it must be seen which evidence approaches the truth and the evidence.
Just as Duman was wounded, who had been charged with murder and assassinated, he felt betrayed. He saw arrest as a form of rescue. He saw the Police as a security for his life and where he is he feels good. These testimonies he has given during this time have a logical meaning.
We are dealing with a blow to persons who in their activity help organized crime, but are not themselves participants in organized crime. If we see how they have started their activity since 2012 with two levers, a knife and some money changers, it means that they have been in primitive stages that can not even be called a gang. It means that they were sporadic like the workers you find in the Unknown Soldier. I mean, you find them and tell them, come on, I'm going to do some work, some murder. The fact that they go to robberies in groups means that we were dealing with a dilettante form. The FBI also has it as a principle that says, if you want to find out a crime, pay attention to the prisons. "Because they have it for pride and they show and talk in the cell" - said Ervin Karamuço for the show 'Contrast'.
