Through a secret operation carried out by an international cooperation team "ENFAST" and agents of the State Police, it was possible to arrest without much fanfare a citizen from Slovakia named Simona Balatova.
The journalist of "Ora News", Elton Qyno, has learned that the arrest operation of Balatova was carried out in September 2023, and her extradition to Slovakia was just as secret.
The extradition of the 44-year-old was carried out with an accelerated procedure using the "postal package" theory, while on March 29, 2024, the judge of the first instance in Durrës, Paulin Çera, decided to approve her extradition by letter to Slovakia.
The 44-year-old woman herself had the desire to move to Slovakia, and requested the approval of the extradition through the accelerated procedure.
Simona Balatova had been declared internationally wanted for 7 months after the Zilina court in Slovakia sentenced her to 9 years and 4 months in prison for the charge of "Evoking financial obligations" and "Participation in a criminal organization".
She was able to enter the Albanian territory and lived in a coastal city such as Durrës. But as he calmed down and thought that he had successfully evaded the search by the Slovak police, an international search team "ENFAST" was able to locate him and come to Albania.
In cooperation with the authorities of the Albanian police, it became possible to arrest the 44-year-old while she was staying in Durrës.
