One day after the escape of 39-year-old Afrim Kila, the State Police suspended four police officers from their duties in the city of Durrës.

The 39-year-old left the premises of the apartment located in the Manza area, as soon as the Court of Appeal of the General Jurisdiction found him guilty of murder and sentenced him to 16 years in prison.

Kila was convicted for the intentional murder that occurred in 2020 in a bar in Ishem.

He was released under house arrest because the terms of detention expired, even though he was sentenced to 18 years by the Court.

Initially, it was suspected that the event was accidental, as the person had collided with a car, but then it was discovered that Kila had hit him with hard objects and then killed him by hitting him with a vehicle.

The Directorate of Professional Standards of the State Police has suspended from duty, for violation of point 5 of article 209 of the State Police regulation, the Police employees:

- Inspectors BV, KD and O. Sh., all three officers of the General Patrol of the Durrës Police Station;

4 police officers have been suspended from their duties, after they were on duty, when the citizen Afrim Kila left his apartment in the village of Gjuricaj, for whom the Court of Appeal, Tirana, has set the security measure "House arrest". for the criminal offense "Deliberate murder".

In the meantime, the AMP has initiated a criminal investigation for this case and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, the work continues to clarify the circumstances and determine the legal responsibilities.
