Cases of domestic violence have been frequent in Cërrik this summer. The latest case was reported this morning.

Marsid Musta, 38 years old, was arrested by the Cerrik police after physically assaulting his wife in front of his children.

According to official sources, around midnight, after an argument with his wife, Musta subjected her to psychological violence, threats and insults for several hours. He then physically raped her for several minutes. 

Despite the intervention of his minor children, the violence against his 29-year-old wife has not stopped.

She was able to escape from her abusive husband and report to the police station at 02:25 where she filed a report about the incident.

The police immediately escorted the violent man and detained him, while a protection order was issued for the 29-year-old victim.
