The arrest of the policemen in Rinas

A wanted police officer was arrested today by the Police Supervision Agency.

It is about the officer Briken Tereziu, for whom the court ordered the arrest in prison.

Tereziu, with the duties of Assistant Specialist/Controller at the Rinas Airport Border Police Station, is accused of allowing minors to pass through the airport, unaccompanied by their parents.

The Police Supervision Agency (Tirana Region) has arrested a wanted police officer, with the security measure "Arrest in prison".

Following the communique dated 04.06.2024, on the execution of personal security measures against 8 police officers, effective at the Rinas Airport Border Police Station and after the announcement of the wanted police officer, Inspector BT, 39 years old, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Abuse of duty" and "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions", the Police Supervision Agency has made it possible today to arrest and execute the personal security measure "Arrest in prison", imposed on him by the Court of First Degree of General Jurisdiction Tirana.

The appointment of personal security measures against police officers was made possible as a result of several months of investigations conducted under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, also applying special methods of investigation, through which provided evidence and facts about their involvement in criminal activity.
