Other details have come to light from yesterday's operation in Greece to crack down on several criminal groups involved in drug trafficking in Albania, Greece and Spain, assassinations and money laundering.
The file reportedly includes at least 21 people.
As revealed by Greek media, information has been discovered regarding the February 26, 2021 assassination attempt at the place called "Larisa Station" in Athens, where an attempt was made to kill citizen Ari Papa, 32, from the village of Dhivër in Saranda.
It was 8:00 p.m. when the Pope was between “Mixail Boda” and “Agorakritou” streets, when the passengers of a taxi fired at him. The Pope received two wounds and was rushed to the hospital where he escaped death.
The assailants fled, threatening the taxi driver, but then abandoned the vehicle along with two pistols and other items.
However, Ari Papa was executed on May 30, 2021, in "Sepolia" Athens while drinking coffee in a bar.
For his murder, in March 2023, the police arrested only two people who allegedly served as assistants to the perpetrators.
It concerns the Albanian taxi driver, 47-year-old Juljan Ymeri, who also uses the names Ervin and Beniamin and the surnames Rexhepi and Bethanov , and a Greek bartender, while the perpetrator is thought to have come from Albania.
It is not known what new details the communications on "Sky EÇ" have revealed regarding the February 2021 assassination attempt, as in March 2021, the Greek police said they had solved that assassination attempt by arresting 7 people and declaring 1 wanted for drug trafficking and other charges, 3 of whom turned out to have had an active role in the assassination attempt on the Pope.
The Greek media, without delving into the details, revealed that the 3 suspects in the Pope's assassination attempt were Albanians "Mili" 38 years old (under arrest), "Dorian" 32 years old (wanted) and "Landi" 30 years old (under arrest). "Mili", a dangerous Albanian, was also involved in an incident on December 20, 2020 where Greek police found a Kalashnikov in a car in Kipseli.
In addition to the assassination attempt on the Pope, Greek media reveals that in the communications of "Sky Ecc" about 70 cases of drug trafficking and sale have been revealed, including Albania, Greece and Spain. Among the people involved in the communications is also a young Albanian executed in Albania by an explosive explosion in his vehicle.

The assailants fled, threatening the taxi driver, but then abandoned the vehicle along with two pistols and other items. Papa told police that he was at the scene with two of his friends named Orlando and Ani, who not only ran away after the incident, but also did not contact him afterwards to ask about his health.
However, the police concluded the investigation into the incident on March 13, arresting 7 people and declaring 1 wanted for drug trafficking and other charges, 3 of whom turned out to have had an active role in the assassination attempt on the Pope.
However, the Greek police link Ari Papa's activities to the first assassination attempt against him, precisely on July 20, 2007, when he was only 18 years old.
On 20.07.2007, the first assassination attempt was made on Ari Papa. He was shot at the intersection of “Liosion” and “Sozopoleus” streets in Athens. Papa was injured along with foreign citizen Georgio Tarnovalinski. For the Greek police, Papa from Sarandia is listed in this incident as Aristidi Pappa.
For the first assassination attempt on Ari Papa, as well as for 10 other assassination attempts and 11 murders, the Greek police then arrested a dangerous group of Albanians involved in the bloody history of the Albanian gang clashes in Greece in 2007-2008.
