Other details emerge from the murder that occurred this afternoon in Berat Castle, where Keli Hoxha, 42, was killed.

The cause is suspected to have been a horse being carried by the perpetrator, Kristo Mema alias Kastriot Hoxha, 63 years old.

The latter has a criminal record in Greece, while the victim was a tourist.

"Around 15:10, in the Kalasë neighborhood, citizen KM, alias KH, 63 years old, resident of the "Barrikadë" neighborhood, Berat, is suspected of having, during a conflict for weak motives, struck citizen KH, 42 years old, resident of Tirana, with a cutting tool, who lost his life. Police services have been put in pursuit of the perpetrator and are checking the area for his capture. The investigative group continues its work to determine the circumstances and fully document the event," the police announced.
