The Fier Prosecutor's Office has registered criminal proceedings against three people accused of a physical clash with police officers and an employee of the National Bureau of Investigation, two days ago in Fier.

The persons prosecuted are citizens Ledjan Kapllanaj, Klaudjo Kapllanaj, Gerald Kollçaku, relatives of the candidate for deputy Agron Kapllanaj, accused of "assault due to duty", committed in collaboration.

The police officers and the BKH agent were conducting investigative actions as part of an investigation by SPAK, when they were confronted by the persons in question who drove up to them, and after they got out, they physically assaulted them, even though they were introduced to their duties.

Prosecutor's Office Announcement:

Police officers were assaulted, the Fier Prosecution registers criminal proceedings for 'Hitting due to duty' committed in collaboration against citizens KK, LK, and GK.

The Prosecution at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier has registered criminal proceedings no. 509, dated 16.04.2025, for the criminal offense of "Hitting due to duty", committed in collaboration, provided for by articles 237/3 and 25 of the Criminal Code, based on a notification from the judicial police services about an event that occurred at the place called "Park Roundabout", Fier.

Immediately after the notification, the judicial police under the direction of the Fier Prosecutor's Office carried out the first investigative actions, from which it was documented that an investigator of the National Bureau of Investigation and officers of the Special Operational Force of the State Police were carrying out investigative actions within the framework of an investigation of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, on the Fier-Patos road axis, near the village of Portëz e Madhe, Fier.

While they were carrying out actions, they were filmed by citizen OI, which forced them to leave the place where they were positioned. About 30 minutes later, while they were standing in their vehicle in another place, on the side of the public road near the place called "Park Roundabout", in the city of Fier, three vehicles approached them and several people got out of them, who exercised physical violence against the police officers, despite the introduction of the latter.

Following the first investigative actions, the Prosecution has submitted to the court the request for the legal validation of the arrest in flagrante delicto and the imposition of a personal security measure against citizens KK, LK and GK.

The Prosecution at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier expresses its full commitment to the investigation and legal accountability of persons who commit criminal offenses that violate the life and health of state police employees and persons performing state duties or public service.
