The National Agency for Pre-University Education has dismissed the teacher of the " Sali Halili " school in Rrajcë, Prrenjas, Fatmir Hoxha , after the latter was arrested by the police for sexual harassment of two students of this school.

AKAP says in the announcement that immediately after receiving this information, relevant verifications were carried out with the psycho-social service employee and the school security officer, while the case is also being investigated by the state police.


There had been complaints against the 55-year-old from the families of two students he had harassed, aged 13 and 14. Earlier, the community there had demanded that Hoxha resign from his job as a teacher.

After the last denunciation, the 55-year-old left the village of Rrajcë, while the police then managed to stop him in Rinas, while he was trying to flee by plane.

AKAP announcement: 

The National Agency for Pre-University Education announces that, following information received about a suspected case of harassment against female students at the "Sali Halili" joint school in Rrajce, the disciplinary measure of dismissal from duty for teacher Fatmir Hoxha was immediately taken.

Immediately after receiving the information, the school principal, in collaboration with the psychosocial service worker and the security officer, conducted the relevant verifications.

The case has been officially referred to the State Police and is being pursued for further investigation by the competent authorities.

AKAP is maximally engaged with educational institutions to guarantee the safety and well-being of every child and strengthen preventive mechanisms in collaboration with psycho-social services, the security officer and educational staff.
