A clash over a property in Selita is suspected to be the motive for the mafia execution of businessman Bujar Nasufi , who was killed in January of this year in front of his wife.

The plot of land, which once belonged to his father and had been sold to the Xhani family , their neighbors, continued to appear in Nasuf's name.

At the time of expropriation for the construction of the Great Ring Road, the financial compensation of around 30 thousand euros ended up in the Nasufi family's account, sparking the conflict between the two families.

Police investigations have led to the identification of two people who allegedly ordered the assassination, brothers Voltan and Jugert Xhani.

They are accused of ordering the elimination of the 56-year-old, who was shot while parking his car near his apartment.

The execution is believed to have been carried out by a hired killer. Disguised as a pizza delivery man and dressed in black, he shot several times with a gun and then burned the motorcycle and the murder weapon, which were recovered by police.

Investigators continue to work to uncover the identity of the perpetrator.

Meanwhile, the Xhani brothers are not unknown to the authorities.

Just a few months ago, they were arrested by RENEA forces in an operation conducted at a restaurant in Lalzi Bay, in the company of underworld figures.

In addition to the alleged order for Nasuf's murder, they are also accused of involvement in the execution of Elis Roshkodoli in Shkodra, in August 2024.
