This proposal was made on the basis of Article 11 "Election of The Presidency" of law 53/2019 "On the Academy of Sciences in the Republic of Albania, as amended and of Articles 15 and 16 of the Statute of ASH.

Among other things, the letter states:

"Our proposal is made after we evaluate the work and performance done in these four years of ASH leadership by academic Gjinushi, after the first phase of reform in fulfillment of the commitments taken before the Assembly.

Among other things we appreciate the opening of AA to the academic world in the country and in the region, the renewal of its ranks with new members, the creation of new research units, the increase of weight and engagement in institutional cooperations in the country, region and beyond, in the implementation of the legal mission of ASH.

We express our conviction that this reform process will continue in the next mandate to fulfill the obligations of the second phase of the reform initiated for the reorganization of ASH with institutes, as well as for the realization of major projects undertaken by our academy in the field of Albanology: "Albanian Encyclopedia", "The Great Dictionary of Albanian Language" and "History of Albanians etc. We hope that our proposal will be considered," the letter said.
