Fireplaces in the Pishporo forest massif in Fier continue to burn large areas.
The fire is considered too large, the midday temperatures that reach up to 15,20 degrees make it impossible for firefighters and the Defence Forces to intervene, as the flames have swept through the crown at <>-<> meters.
The fire has been going on for four days and today the situation has deteriorated.
"We have fireplaces in the forest area of Pishporo, which is a protected area, for five days. It is about an exaggerated fireplace on a very dense forest surface, in a stepped forest that has low vegetation like shrubs and high, pine vegetation, which has made it impossible at many moments especially during noon, to operate either with firefighting forces or armed forces after fire was in the crown, at heights of 15-20 meters, making it very difficult to work the structures in the field", said Fier Prefect Lefter Shehaj.
