Ermal Onuzi has today signed his resignation from the post of head of the Republican Guard, Voxnews.al exclusively learns.
It is learned that Onuzi has refused to leave, but sources for Voxnews.al indicate that the Minister of Interior, Ervin Hoxha, has asked him to leave office.
The reasons why he was removed from the head of the Guard, or why Onuzi refused to do so, are unclear.
The duty of Guard commander will currently be held by one of the current deputy directors.
Voxnews.al learns that Onuzi was forced to sign his dishonorable discharge from the Republican Guard today.
He was appointed to this position only eight months ago, having previously come from a position as an employee at a concession company where he was mainly involved in security.
