Albanian Dritan Mecaj dies. Italian media reports that the 43-year-old died yesterday, shortly after 11.30, in Cessalto inside the Corvezzo winery. The Albanian drowned while working inside a steel tank, in an autoclave, usually used to preserve wine.

Doctors and nurses of Suem 118 intervened on the spot and tried in vain to revive the worker, who lost his life. Mecaj lived for many years in Italy and worked in the Corvezzo Vineyard since 1992, he was married to an Albanian woman and was the father of an 11-year-old son.
