Numerous residents gathered this Monday morning in front of the Vlora Municipality premises to seek a solution regarding the water shortage they have been facing for four days now.

Among the protesters was a citizen who is currently facing another challenge, the fight against a serious illness.

Through tears, she spoke to the Euronews journalist, emphasizing that in addition to the fact that the state does not guarantee specialized health treatments such as comitotherapy within the country, citizens are also forced to deal with the lack of water in an already dire situation.

According to her, this situation is unacceptable and can no longer be tolerated, while she also expressed disappointment at the indifference of some citizens who follow the protest from cafes without getting involved.

"I am protesting today, it is good that the state does not allow us chemotherapy in our country, but we must come here to face the lack of water in the situation we are in. This is unacceptable, it cannot be tolerated, especially for the people of Vlorë who are watching us from the cafes. We are neither with the DP nor the SP, we are for our right here. I have been back in my country for a month because I was in Italy for chemotherapy. We have no water at home at all, we have tried with cans, but it is impossible. I call on all the people of Vlorë to come here, everyone can do it from home," she said as the journalist could not hold back his tears.
