The Police Supervision Agency has arrested the police officer on duty as General Patrol Officer at the Korça Police Station , suspected of the criminal offenses of " Failure to render assistance ", " Leaving the scene of an accident " and " Violation of traffic rules ".

On March 3, a police officer hit a citizen with his car and left the scene without providing assistance to the injured person or notifying law enforcement.

As a result of the accident, AMP announces that the injured person has been sent for specialized treatment to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

The Police Supervision Agency (Elbasan - Korça Region) has on its own initiative detained the police officer Inspector JR, acting as General Patrol Officer at the Korça Police Commissariat, suspected of the criminal offenses of "Failure to provide assistance", "Leaving the scene of an accident" and "Violation of road traffic rules".

His arrest was made after on 03/03/2025, while driving his vehicle on the Hoçisht - Bilisht axis, he was involved in a road accident resulting in the injury of citizen D. GJ., and he left the scene of the incident without providing assistance to the injured person and without notifying the law enforcement agencies.

As a result of the accident, citizen D. GJ. was sent for specialized treatment to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
