Fiks Fare denounced a scandal at the Vlora Port Customs on Monday evening, where the person in charge, Renato Bega, operated in the system even when he was physically outside the territory of the Republic of Albania.
Surprisingly, on the dates he was abroad, he "appears" in documents at the Port of Vlora, taking trucks of goods out of customs territory. There are over 2,000 customs practices with these actions that Fiksi has found to be problematic.
The investigative show's editorial office received information, accompanied by documents, that Renato Bega had made dozens of trips abroad while he was "working" releasing goods at the Port of Vlora. His name is on dozens of such practices.
In relation to this case, the General Directorate of Customs has reacted, announcing that it has initiated disciplinary proceedings against the Head of the Vlora Branch, Artan Bedini, and the suspension from civil service of the Shift Manager at the Vlora Customs Branch, Renato Bega. As well as the initiation of an administrative investigation into the issues addressed by the Fiks Fare show.
