"The Justice Reform is irreversible"! This is the message of the European Union Ambassador to Tirana, Silvio Gonzato, who underlines the importance of the independence and integrity of magistrates.

Ambassador Gonzato stated that the European Union has supported the Vetting process from the beginning and will continue to do so until its completion.

“Trust is a belief that must be constantly nurtured. It cannot be taken for granted. This means that, while judicial reform is irreversible, its implementation requires our sustained attention and support. Ensuring the independence and integrity of judges is a permanent task and effort,” he said.

For the European Union's chief diplomat in Albania, "responsibility and independence are at the heart of every democratic society governed by the rule of law." Ambassador Gonzato made these messages at a roundtable organized by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Tirana and the Albanian Helsinki Committee, from where he emphasized that the EU's support for justice in Albania will continue.
