A judicial body in Appeal ordered the prosecution of Tirana to continue the investigations and confirm whether the crime agents have done everything possible to prove the denunciation of a woman who insisted that in all cases when the child left her home, she had fallen victim to traffic in the capital.
Evaluating the long battle of the 38-year-old mother, the court orders the questioning of two police officials who must answer specifically what concrete actions they performed during the investigation, when the child left the house and the family denounced. The minor ran away from the apartment five times, and each time the parents reported to the police, the latter issued a search warrant and found her.
But the mother's denunciations mention names of suspects whom the minor considers friends, while the woman calls them exploiters. According to the report, the conflict with the police culminated with the reaction of the officers under investigation who warned the mother that they would fine her if she appeared at the police station again.
The court wants to confirm whether or not there were witnesses to this sequence. But the police claim that they have carried out every possible action and have even taken the testimony of the 13-year-old girl, who declares that she will not return to the apartment. Under these conditions, the family decides to resolve the situation themselves. They lock the child in the house and cut his hair and this case examined and separated from the other one here in the court is closed with a guilty verdict on the charge of child abuse./TCH
