An elderly man has fallen into the handcuffs of the Shkodra police, after he was caught trying to shoot a Kalashnikov firearm.

It is reported that the citizen Gj. M., a resident of the "Skënderbeg" district, Shkodër, who was trying to dispose of the Kalashnikov suspected of being used in criminal events.

During the inspection of this citizen's apartment, the Police services found an automatic firearm, with a comb with 30 cartridges, which were seized as material evidence and will be sent for further examination to the Scientific Police Institute.

At the time of the inspection, only one elderly man was found in the apartment, who was processed in a free state due to his age.

The structures of the Shkodër Police Station, based on the information provided by the police intelligence, that an attempt was being made to wall off a Kalashnikov firearm suspected to have been used in a criminal event, immediately intervened to check the apartment of the citizen Gj . M., resident in the "Skënderbeg" neighborhood, Shkodër.

During the inspection of this citizen's apartment, the Police services found an automatic firearm, with a comb with 30 cartridges, which were seized as material evidence and will be sent for further examination to the Scientific Police Institute.

From the investigative structures of DVP Shkodër, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, the actions for the complete clarification of the circumstances of this case are continuing.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Shkodra General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
