Skender Vata/ Jurgest Luzi

Another operation by Tirana's anti-drugs has hit a scheme of introducing narcotics through the mail, sent to Albania from the USA. Two people, Skënder Vata and Jurgest Luzi, have been arrested .

The Anti-Drug Sector developed the "California" operation, after there was information that the two young men were involved in international drug trafficking where they had specifically ordered 3.2 kg of high quality cannabis.

It is also suspected that Vata and Luzi have introduced different amounts of narcotics through the mail earlier.

Sources indicate that Skënde Vata was the organizer of this scheme. The latter involved Jurgest Luz, assigning him the role of receiving the cannabis from the mail.

The same sources state that the package with narcotics was sent in the name of another person originating from Korça, who is also being investigated by Antidrug if he is involved in this criminal activity or not.

We recall that a few days ago, another case was struck by the police where 1.6 kg of cannabis that had arrived in Albania from the USA were seized.

27-year-old Ilir Sefa was arrested, while another was declared wanted.
