The attack on a Police officer that was announced as a banal conflict with the neighbor was actually a genuine criminal attack aimed at killing him.

The incident happened on Monday in the area of ​​"Zdrale" in Shkodër, and the police said that after a few hours the perpetrator, Ormir Gucia, was arrested.

As can be seen from these images, the officer Admir Okaj is talking to two girls, who turned out to be his nieces, and at one point, a masked person with a hat and glasses comes running towards him and hits him several times with a solid object from behind.

Okaj defends himself and pulls out a pistol from his belt, which he first points at the perpetrator, with the aim of neutralizing him, then hits him on the head with the barrel of the gun.

This is the moment when the gun fired involuntarily, but without harming anyone, the perpetrator managed to run away.

After receiving treatment at the hospital, Admir Okaj also gives his testimony. This event has been referred to the Prosecutor's Office as attempted murder.

According to sources from the State Police, the incident is suspected to be related to the duty of officer Admir Okaj, who was previously part of the Shkodra FNSH, where he served for 23 years.

The Criminal Police Department has a file related to the threats he received during his duties from the Bajri group. Even Monday's event is seen as a revenge for the many arrests and escorts he has carried out.
