At the end of 2024, Minister of Justice Ulsi Manja gave the good news that 5,200 families or 15,000 individuals will benefit from a compensation measure due to the legalization process.

In a conversation with journalists, he said that the total value is 30 million euros and will start today and the disbursement will be made by Thursday.

Manja stated that 70 percent has been compensated in 5 installments, while the sixth installment of 30% is the state's obligation.

Manja: I could not help but share with you, the citizens, a congratulatory card for 15 thousand individuals, or 5200 families, who starting today will benefit from a compensation measure due to the legalization process, a total value of 30 million euros that the government has allocated to close part of this process. Of course, there are 9667 entities that from 2010 to 2024 have been compensated at the rate of 70 percent due to the legalization process and from this year, the remaining 30% of the compensation measure was the duty of the state. We are talking about 5200 files of former owners, whose properties have been occupied by informal constructions. They have received 5 installments at the rate of 70 percent and the 6th installment of 30 percent would be compensation from the state budget. Each of the 15 thousand individuals will have the compensation measure in their account number. "In these 5200 files that benefit from this compensation measure, it has been followed in chronological order, who applied earlier and who later," said Ulsi Manja, among other things, who emphasized that in this compensation measure, priority should be given to families with many people, vulnerable categories, and religious communities.
