The leadership of the Order of Psychologists has faced opposition and incidents. The current President of the Order of Psychologists, Valbona Treska, does not recognize the elections even procedurally. 

Through a decision taken with 8 votes in favor, the institution's National Council has declared the process invalid because a simple majority was not reached to elect the new president and the new National Council.

"According to the Register of active members with voting rights of the Order of Psychologists on 05.06.2025, it results that at the moment of voting, the National Assembly consists of 1480 members. Based on the minutes of the Electoral Commission on 05.06.2025, it results that 451 members participated in the vote. Under these conditions, based on Law 40/2016, article 15, point 3, letter a), it is concluded that a simple majority of all members was not achieved to elect the President and the Combatant Council." , the decision states.

Brunilda Laboviti was elected the new President of the Order of Psychologists with 238 votes, but was not allowed to take office. 

Former President Valbona Treska claims that the appeal deadline should be waited.

Contacted by the media, Ms. Treska stated that until the relevant bodies of the Order speak, she will continue to be on duty. 

Asked about the validity of the quorum, Treska said that she is not in the right position to give a definitive opinion, but said that the membership register is public and there are 1,480 members. 

Meanwhile, the planned meeting of the Council on June 13th, which would have sealed the June 5th elections, did not take place. The Psychologist's Order had closed the door.

It seems that the clashes between Laboviti and the current President, Valbona Treska, will continue. /VOICE
