The Special Court has upheld the prison sentence imposed in absentia for Dashnor Dumani , the brother of the justice collaborator, Nuredin Dumani , while changing it from 'prison arrest' to 'house arrest' for Armis Stafa , part of the Çopjave criminal organization, suspected of laundering its money through the sale and purchase of vehicles.

None of the defendants spoke in court, but were represented by lawyers Ferdinand Ndoja and Gurali Braimllari. 

Based on the information presented to the court, no proper extradition procedure was implemented for Duman and Staff, but they were brought through the deportation or expulsion procedure from the United Arab Emirates. 

The pair were brought to Albania on Wednesday, June 11, from Dubai via a transit flight from Turkey.

For Dashnor Duman, the GJKKO in 2024 has set the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Murder in other qualifying circumstances", "Armed robbery" and "Unlicensed possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", committed within the framework of a criminal organization.

Dumani is accused of being part of the group that participated in the Bradashesh massacre, where Endrit Alibej, his uncle Arben Dylgjeri, and Erdal Durunay, a Turkish citizen who accompanied them, were killed.

There is also a security measure against him for the spectacular robbery of Rinas in 2019, where, together with citizen Altin Ndoci, he burned one of the vehicles used during the armed robbery of a sum of money.

In this event, Admir Murataj was killed during a clash with the police, and in the following months it led to a rift in the group due to the division of money, producing a wave of other murders.

Dashnor Dumani turns out to have been sentenced to 4 years and 4 months in prison for illegal possession of weapons, a sentence of which he has 1 year and 4 months left to serve. 

In his testimony in the courtroom at the GJKKO in the "Golden Bullet" trial, Erion Alibej, in his capacity as a justice collaborator, stated a few days ago that from the investigations he conducted privately into the massacre, he discovered that among the assassins was Nuredin Dumani's brother.

With the latter, Erion Alibey began a collaboration for the murder of Talo Çela and, according to him, he had sworn on the Quran that he would forgive his brother's blood, despite the fact that when Nuredin Dumami told him the names of Endrit Alibey's killers, he did not mention his brother Dashnor Dumani. 

The other extradited, Armes Stafa, is part of the organization of brothers Franc and Hajdar Çopja.

Through the sale and purchase of cars, it is suspected that his role in the group was to launder money that flowed from criminal activity, mainly drug trafficking. The Special Court sentenced him to "prison arrest" in absentia last year.
